MGA Homecare Enters North Carolina Market with Wendy Chavez, Vice President of Operations

MGA HOMECARE IS PROUD TO ANNOUNCE THEIR ENTRY INTO THE NORTH CAROLINA MARKET WITH THE HIRING OF WENDY CHAVEZ AS VICE PRESIDENT OF OPERATIONS

North Carolina – MGA Homecare announces they will begin operations in North Carolina with Wendy Chavez as the new VP of Operations leading the expansion. Ms. Chavez will oversee all business operations and clinical services in the state. She will be responsible for building the state leadership team and local office teams in multiple locations. Ms. Chavez will lead the development and implementation of efficient operations, and cost-effective delivery of care with the highest quality standards. This will expand MGA Homecare’s service footprint outside of their existing operations in Arizona, Colorado, and Texas and into the southeastern region with plans for expansion into additional state markets. MGA will be providing home and community-based services including private duty nursing, therapies, and CNA care to pediatric and adult patients.

Chavez holds a Master of Science, in Nursing from East Carolina University and brings with her over 25 years of experience in home health and hospice. She comes to MGA Homecare from Thrive Skilled Pediatric Care where she served as Director of The Advocacy Center, responsible for state and federal advocacy and Government Affairs in multi-state operations. Prior to their acquisition by Thrive, Ms. Chavez worked at Health & Home Services where she served as Regional Director, responsible for operational and clinical teams over multi-site locations in North Carolina for Private Duty Nursing and Aide Services with payer sources including Medicaid, VA, commercial, MCO, and private pay.

Ms. Chavez serves on the Board for Association for Home and Hospice Care of NC and Recreational Therapy Licensing Board. She is also affiliated with NC Nursing Association, American Nurses Association and Women’s Resource Center Foundation Member.

As the VP of Operations, Chavez will support strategic initiatives and overall growth of the business, along with collaborating with executive leadership to develop and meet MGA Homecare quality goals.
