“After working as a field nurse for MGA, I had total confidence in MGA’s mission and proven commitment to support pediatric patients and families. I am excited about the opportunities the RN case manager role provides – clinically supporting field nurses and CNAs while being part of a team to improve the quality of so many patients’ and families’ lives.”
What’s the most rewarding part of your job?
“Creative problem-solving through the nuances of pediatric homecare; some of the smallest ideas can have the biggest impact. The “whole person whole family” approach to private duty nursing brings me the greatest joy – it’s not just about the clinical tasks a patient requires, but about integrating those tasks in a way that allows the child and family to create a “new normal” that feels like home, rather than a feeling like a clinical setting.”
What are your favorite activities outside of work? (e.g., volunteering somewhere specific, outdoor activities, reading, a sport, etc.)
“I’m a garden addict and spend as much time as possible with dirt under my fingernails, growing vegetables, and pretty flowers. I also love photography and “on occasion” have been known to crawl through”
