ICYMI: Denver’s Special Needs Resources

Thank you to all of the community partners, families and clinicians that helped make our Team Together Resource Fair a success! Wondering what you missed or eager to find Denver area special needs resources? Don’t worry, for those who weren’t able to make it we’ve compiled a list of community partners and support services who were there!

A Circle of Care Colorado is an In-Home Support Services (IHSS) agency based out of Colorado Springs. Their goal is to provide families across Colorado the resources and support they need to earn an income while working as a caregiver for their children with special needs within the comforts of home.

Adam’s Camp serves toddlers, children, youth and adults with developmental delays or disabilities and their families. They do this by providing customized, intensive therapy, family support, and recreation in a fun camp environment.

Anchor Center for Blind Children offers youth services, family support and community outreach programs to support the specific needs of each visually impaired child they work with. They teach life skills that prepare children for success in their school years and beyond.

Autism Community Store was the first store in the country to specialize in products for individuals on the autism spectrum. Every day, they help members of the autism community by supplying hard-to-find products for individuals with autism, sensory issues, ADHD and other special needs at reasonable prices.

Autism Home Support Services specializes in Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) therapy. From intake to kickoff of ABA behavior therapy, their technology-supported approach is an integrative one that hinges upon ongoing collaborative communication among their team and your family.

Autistic Minds works in the Northwest Colorado region providing opportunities to adults affected with Autism Spectrum Disorder to access educational, recreational and therapeutic activities to enrich and enhance their lives and their well-being.

Chelsea Hutchison Foundation is a non-profit corporation formed to provide help and support to individuals, particularly children and young adults, who have epilepsy. The main purpose of The Chelsea Hutchison Foundation is to spread awareness of SUDEP and to inform people that preventative measures can potentially be taken.

Coram® CVS Specialty™ Infusion Services is an industry leader and the infusion provider of CVS, Coram cares for patients through a national network of 90+ locations, including 70+ infusion suites nationwide. With more than 30 years of experience providing infusion care, Coram employs a knowledgeable, dedicated clinical staff to manage patients with complex infusion needs.

Elevated Insights Assessment provides scientifically grounded and culturally-responsive psychological evaluation services to meet the needs of children and families in Denver. By offering insight into an individual’s ability to function across settings, they are able to highlight attributes to promote success, while identifying areas of concern that may require intervention.

Epilepsy Foundation offers a range of educational opportunities, programs, and services for people living with epilepsy, families, friends, and caregivers. They also work to provide community services, public education, federal and local advocacy, seizure first aid training and research funding into new treatments and therapies.

GoldStar Learning Options is dedicated to supporting and advocating for individuals with intellectual and developmental differences and their families. They provide a variety of tools and strategies for adults and youth so that each individual can be successful in all environments, whether in his/her home, school, or community.

Handprints Home Health provides the highest quality of home-based, personalized services which encourage client independence and offers an alternative to institutionalized care. They specialize in physical, speech, occupational and behavioral therapies.

Hannah’s Essentials is headed by a young lady born with Williams Syndrome who loves music, animals and is passionate about great smells. She and her mother run a local, online retailer that sells products composed of purely organic, wild-crafted or natural ingredients, infused in CBD, healing herbs, essential oils and much love.

Hope Kids provides ongoing events, activities and a powerful, unique support community for families who have a child with cancer or some other life-­threatening medical condition. They surround children and their families with the message that hope can be a powerful medicine.

Infinity Foundation is a Colorado nonprofit organization established to support individuals and families of their affiliate GoldStar Learning Options Inc. Their role is to raise the financial resources necessary for families to access essential services which they would otherwise be unable to secure due to the gaps in funding that exist.

Kids Mobility Network is a Denver-area based non-profit organization providing children with disabilities with durable medical equipment such as wheelchairs, walkers and other medical equipment to ensure mobility.

Lightning Mobility provides their clients with a comprehensive functional mobility evaluation that will help them receive the most appropriate mobility device as quickly as possible while meeting provider and CMS guidelines.

Major Medical Team

Loose Ends or Legacy host regular workshops to provide details on estate planning, including where to begin, how to plan a legacy, preserve government benefits and secure loving care plans through your last wishes.

Major Medical is a supplier of home medical equipment. Their team of experts does their best to evaluate the individual needs of all their customers and help them find the products and services required to meet those needs.

MGA Academy offers a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) program for Colorado residents. Their hands-on instructional courses provide students with the opportunity to have nurse aide training, CPR training and first aid education.

Patterns Behavioral Services provides comprehensive services, utilizing Applied Behavior Analysis and Discrete Trial Training therapies, for children with autism and other developmental disabilities.

Rocky Mountain Down Syndrome Association works to assure inclusion and enhance the independence of people with Down syndrome. To do this, they provide education, resources and support in partnership with individuals, families, professionals and the community.

Rocky Mountain Human Services is a nonprofit organization that serves Colorado residents through case management and direct service programs. They serve communities such as children with developmental delays and disabilities and adults with cognitive and intellectual disabilities.

Sentido Health specializes in new-market comprehensive care models, direct-to-patient education and the in-home delivery of medical supplies. They pride themselves on their compassionate understanding of the many obstacles and challenges that confront our patient population and caregivers.

VitalCare is a licensed non-medical home care agency located in Westminster, Colorado. They provide a variety of comprehensive therapeutic support to Colorado families.
