MGA Homecare Announces New Therapy Division in Arizona

The new therapy services bring Occupational, Physical, and Speech Therapy to Arizona established around years of successful therapy services in Colorado and Texas.

Scottsdale, AZ – Today, MGA Homecare announced they are expanding their robust Private Duty Nursing and Skilled Nursing Visit services in the Phoenix Metro region with Pediatric In-Home Therapy and Teletherapy client options.

It has taken years for all the right ingredients to fall into place for MGA Homecare, Phoenix to offer Therapy services here in Arizona,” said Trevor Rogers, Administrator – Scottsdale “Being able to emulate the successes from the Colorado and Texas offices will ensure we can provide the same high level of care for our therapy clients.

MGA Homecare Scottsdale has been focused on serving the metro area for years, having clinical staff throughout Phoenix as well as the East Valley and West Valley. With more than 250 active nurses in the field, the room for growth into therapy is the next best step to further serve the needs of both our existing and future patients.

This new department is a natural expansion for our growing company and will allow the brand to deepen its offerings in Phoenix and surrounding areas even further.

For years our patient families, managed care organizations, and hospital discharge case managers in the Phoenix metro pediatric healthcare community have asked MGA to offer in-home therapy services to compliment our industry-leading Private Duty Nursing (PDN) services,” said Brett Costello, Chief Operating Officer “Due to the State Medicaid program’s reimbursement model constraints it was never a feasible business model and we were unable to attract the specialized therapists needed to provide pediatric Speech/Feeding, Physical, and Occupational therapies. Fortunately, last year because of intense lobbying efforts, the state legislature passed Medicaid funding increases that now make it possible for MGA to offer these life-changing therapies. We will leverage our years of experience providing these therapies in our other state markets to build out a best in class program here in the valley.

The Phoenix Therapy department will be supervised by Kelly Vanlandingham, Director of Therapy. Kelly has over 17 years of Speech-Language Pathology experience in pediatric hospital settings.

When I look at the success MGA Homecare has had with our PDN business in Phoenix, we were incredibly excited to expand into Therapy,” said Austin Gray, Director of Business Development– Scottsdale “I am looking forward to growing our sister offices into this new realm, growing this division and staffing the best therapists for our medically fragile and special needs clients is really exciting.

Over the past year, the need for pediatric therapy services, especially during COVID-19 has been on the rise. MGA looks to offer in-home therapy as well as teletherapy appointments when available
