Our Austin office is excited to announce the promotion of Kevin Ellison to Director of Operations. Kevin Ellison has been an essential member of the MGA Homecare family since he moved from our sister company, MGA Healthcare, back in 2013. Kevin worked as both a therapy recruiter and case manager in Dallas for a year and a half before he transitioned into a managerial role as the Therapy Operations Manager. Last year, Kevin transferred to our Austin office where he had the opportunity to further develop the therapy division before his recent promotion to Director of Operations.
“This was my first job out of college,” shared Ellison. “I started working as a healthcare recruiter before moving over to home care and have kept working hard to grow with the company ever since. I remember meeting Dave, our CEO, and seeing how much he cared about each employee. It was inspiring and made me want to stick with MGA.”
Kevin is excited about his new roles and responsibilities as Director of Operations and is looking forward to working across the Austin office to ensure daily operations run smoothly.
“I’m eager to work with everyone in the office that I didn’t necessarily get to work with while I was in my previous role,” said Kevin. “I want to do everything I can to ensure the whole office works together to provide the best service to our families and clinicians. I’ve hit the ground running by brushing up on policies and procedures and everything I can about being the best Director of Operations.”
When asked what his favorite thing about working for MGA Homecare is, Kevin was quick to answer.
“From the top down, you truly feel like you’re a member of one big family,” said Ellison. “The leadership team doesn’t just talk about our core values; they demonstrate and embody them. I also love that you can talk with anyone here without having to jump through hoops. Everyone makes time for each other and cares about one another. The small interactions I get to have with Dave mean a lot and those have shown me we have an above-average CEO for a company of our size.”
Our Administrator of the Austin office, Drew Allison, describes Kevin as an operational and relationship-building expert. “I’m excited to see him develop in this well-deserved leadership role,” said Allison. “I know he will bring a surge of growth by imparting all of the knowledge he’s gained over the years.”
When Kevin isn’t working, you can find him exploring the outdoors while hiking and fishing with his family or cheering on his favorite team at a baseball or football game.
