Job Overview
RNs and LPNs are responsible for providing and documenting skilled nursing care and reporting to Case Managers and/or Clinical Nurse Supervisor. In collaboration with the MGA personnel, the nurse will render skilled nursing care in accordance with the care developed for each individual patient and in accordance with the Physician’s orders.
Duties and Responsibilities
Performs specific treatments and medication administration as per care plan
Functions as a team member demonstrating collaboration with and responsibility to the patient, Physician, and health care team.
Identifies issues of concern and demonstrates critical thinking skills.
All clinical documentation must be completed accurately and submitted timely per agency policy/guidelines.
Reports on time and as scheduled to complete work within the designated time.
Adhere to all company policies and procedures outlined in the Employee Handbook
Requirements
Graduation from an approved certification/program/accredited school/undergraduate/graduate school or post-graduate education to reflect the ability to perform the job as described.
Hold a valid/unencumbered verification/license to practice the job as described in the state where services are provided.
Have the professional experience required by state regulations to perform the job as described.
Reliable transportation.
Provide a copy of current TB results or Chest x-ray.
Provide a copy of CPR certification as per agency policy.
Be flexible, organized and have the ability to exercise independent and sound judgment to perform the job duties/responsibilities.
Physical Requirements
Ability to regularly sit, stand, stop, bend, kneel, walk, balance, crouch, crawl, push, pull, and reach with hands and arms, and perform other physical activities as deemed necessary by job duties.
Vision and Hearing capabilities within normal limits, with or without aid.
Ability to frequently lift and or move up to 15 pounds and occasionally lift or move 100 pounds or more if applicable.
Ability to perform the anticipated level of physical assistance required to provide safe client care. If the anticipated level of assistance exceeds what the employee can safely provide, the supervisor is to be notified immediately.
