Licensed Pharmacy Technician
Job Overview
Prescription Processing:
- Accurately fill prescriptions using vials or blister packs
- Measure medication dosages per prescription orders
- Understand and comply with labeling and regulatory requirements
- Handle incoming and outgoing calls professionally
- Redirect clinical inquiries to pharmacists as needed
- Troubleshoot delivery issues with patients, couriers, and healthcare providers
Customer Interaction & Compliance:
- Verify patient information (DOB, address, insurance, etc.)
- Ensure HIPAA-compliant communication and documentation
- Coordinate with pharmacists for patient consultations
Delivery & Documentation:
- Confirm deliveries and follow protocols with internal and external couriers
- Reconcile delivery batches in pharmacy systems
- Organize and file paperwork per policy and legal standards
Inventory & Facility Maintenance:
- Monitor and restock essential supplies (vials, labels, printer paper, etc.)
- Support inventory tracking and expired product checks
- Help maintain a clean, safe, and organized workspace (including public and staff areas)
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in a pharmacy setting preferred
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
- Attention to detail and commitment to accuracy
- Team-oriented with a customer-first attitude
- Willingness to assist with special projects as needed
