Job Overview
Duties and ResponsibilitiesÂ
Assist pharmacists with medication preparation, filling, labeling, and packagingÂ
Accurately enter prescription and patient information into pharmacy software systemsÂ
Prepare and package medications for delivery to long-term care facilitiesÂ
Support unit-dose, blister pack, and automated dispensing processesÂ
Maintain accurate records and documentation in accordance with pharmacy regulationsÂ
Receive, stock, rotate, and organize medication inventory and suppliesÂ
Process medication returns, credits, and expired medications according to policyÂ
Answer incoming phone calls and provide basic customer service support to facilities, nurses, and internal staffÂ
Assist with order prioritization to meet scheduled delivery deadlinesÂ
Maintain cleanliness and organization of pharmacy work areasÂ
Follow HIPAA guidelines and protect patient confidentiality at all timesÂ
Participate in training and competency development programsÂ
Perform other duties as assigned by pharmacy leadershipÂ
This position does not have supervisory responsibilityÂ

RequirementsÂ
Active Pharmacy Technician license in the state of ColoradoÂ
Ability to keep continued Pharmacy Technician licensure Â
Basic computer skills and ability to learn pharmacy software systemsÂ
Strong attention to detail and accuracyÂ
Ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment Â
Effective verbal and written communication skillsÂ
Basic understanding of pharmacy terminology and medication handlingÂ
Ability to follow written and verbal instructions accuratelyÂ
Strong organizational and time management skillsÂ
Ability to maintain professionalism and confidentialityÂ
Willingness to learn and adapt to changing workflows and prioritiesÂ
Ability to work collaboratively with pharmacists, technicians, nurses, and facility staffÂ
Ability to stand and walk for extended periodsÂ
Frequent use of hands for typing, packaging, and medication handlingÂ
Ability to lift and move up to 25 pounds occasionallyÂ
Ability to perform repetitive tasks with accuracy and attention to detailÂ
Fast-paced long-term care pharmacy settingÂ
Environment may include automated dispensing equipment and medication packaging machineryÂ
