Job Description

Responsible for the accurate coordination and administration of benefits and related programs. Information maintenance including but not limited to recordkeeping, eligibility reporting, and data auditing is also a portion of this position. First point of contact for general benefits inquiries and vendor escalations.

Support of the following but Not limited to;

  • Benefits Administration
    • First Point of contact for employees for all health and general benefit inquiries
    • Assists field and office employees with benefit inquiries in a timely manner by answering questions related to Open Enrollment, eligibility, termination, coverage, life changes, and COBRA, while demonstrating exemplary customer service
    • Process and maintain related benefits documentation and enrollments, including collection of dependent documentation, verification, and Qualifying Life Event documentation.
    • Audit health and other benefit elections monthly to ensure accuracy
    • Offer health and other benefits to new hires and manage employee status changes monthly
    • ACA hour monitoring to capture employees that may require a status change to be offered health or other benefits
    • Notify carriers of location adds to keep plan structures/EDI files up to date
    • Provide enrollment data as needed to benefit carriers
    • Participate in development and training sessions for employees learning more about ICHRA Health and other offerings
  • Monitors shared benefit inbox to resolve or escalate employee requests and answer questions timely
  • Employee develops and maintains relationships with 3rd party benefits carriers
  • Responds to inquiries regarding policies, procedures and programs while demonstrating exemplary customer service.
  • Supports and executes the mission, ethics, and goals of the company effectively.
  • Represents themselves in a positive and professional manner in the company and community.
  • Adheres to dress code with a clean and neat professional appearance.
  • Reports as scheduled to complete work within designated time.
  • Adhere to all company policies and procedures outlined in Employee Handbook, Employee Agreement, or communicated from executive team.

Qualifications

Required Skills/Abilities

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Thorough understanding of local, state, and federal laws involving employment, ERISA, HR, and HR policies.
  • Proficient with the ability to quickly learn the organization’s HRIS, payroll, and similar employee management software.
  • Adapts quickly through proficient change management skill

Education/Experience

  • High School Degree required
  • 2-5 years of previous Benefits Administration or related experience preferred
  • Ability to effectively communicate in English- verbal and written (Additional languages preferred)
  • Maintain confidentiality of sensitive information
