Job Overview
Duties and ResponsibilitiesÂ
HousekeepingÂ
Performs light housekeeping duties sufficient to keep the client safe in the home, including making and changing the bed, cleaning the bathroom, and cleaning the kitchen area.Â
Performs the client's personal laundry as assigned by the plan of care.Â
Identifies and reports household safety hazards to the supervisor or manager.Â
Meal Preparation & ErrandsÂ
Prepares and serves meals in accordance with the client's plan of care and any dietary needs.Â
Completes shopping and errands on behalf of the client as authorized by the plan of care.Â
Service Delivery & SchedulingÂ
Provides services when scheduled and communicates promptly to the Agency and client regarding any schedule changes.Â
Accomplishes job responsibilities in a timely, safe, and professional manner.Â
Participates in client case conferences according to Agency policy and procedures.Â
Documentation & CommunicationÂ
Documents activities performed in the client's home at the time of the visit.Â
Documents client concerns and difficulties and reports the same to the supervisor or manager.Â
Completes and submits all required paperwork accurately and on time.Â
Compliance & Professional StandardsÂ
Represents the Agency in a professional manner and dresses appropriately for job duties.Â
Maintains client confidentiality in accordance with HIPAA and Agency policy.Â
Adheres to all company policies and procedures outlined in the Employee Handbook, Employee Agreement, or as communicated by the executive team.Â
Performs other duties as assigned.Â

RequirementsÂ
RequiredÂ
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules and care instructionsÂ
Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing, with clients, families, and Agency staffÂ
Ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality in all aspects of job responsibilitiesÂ
Ability to solve practical problems and improvise in an unstructured home settingÂ
Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with fellow employees, clients, and supervisorsÂ
Ability to frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds and to perform physical tasks including standing, bending, reaching, and stoopingÂ
Possession of a valid Colorado Driver's License with applicable car insurance, or reliable transportation to all accepted assignmentsÂ
PreferredÂ
High school diploma or GED equivalentÂ
Verifiable work experience providing homemaking or housekeeping servicesÂ
Prior experience in a home health care or IHSS settingÂ
Familiarity with Medicaid programs and IHSS servicesÂ
