Job Overview

MGA Homecare is seeking an experienced, compassionate, and professional nurse to serve as Super Preceptor / Clinical Training Specialist, a support role, for our New Graduate Residency Program in Arizona. In this role you support MGA clinicians with their hands-on and soft-skills training, bridging the gap between classroom education and independent patient care. This role is pivotal to providing collaboration and precepting to clinicians as they transition into their roles as pediatric home healthcare nurses. 

This position is a full-time role supporting clinicians in Arizona. This position will require being in the office 4-5 days per week including driving to clinicians in the field to provide in-person support when needed.

Role & Responsibilities

Under the supervision of the Director of Clinical Services, the Super Preceptor / Clinical Training Specialist is responsible for promoting the best practice through clinician development and education ensuring optimal patient outcomes.

  • Incorporates principles of adult learning in the planning, implementation, and evaluation of education programs.
  • Coordinates orientation of new clinical staff to the organization.
  • Implement education plans related to initial and ongoing competency validation for clinical staff.
  • Reinforce education for the development of clinicians during training and continued development into preceptors and / or mentors of clinicians.
  • Identify and evaluate instructional materials in all types of media and formats.
  • Adjust content and teaching strategies appropriate to learner needs.
  • Provide educational opportunities that benefit nurses at all stages of their career development.
  • Demonstrate competence-based evaluations for nursing staff with a focus upon improvement of skills and retention of knowledge.
  • Coordinates and facilitates in-services and educational classes for clinical staff.
  • Supports staff development with educational activities (which include remediation, certification, mentoring, documentation, policies and procedures product and equipment).
  • Provides educational feedback to nursing staff regarding clinical documentation to the standards of Quality Assurance and CMS guidelines through written, verbal, and virtual support.

  

Qualifications:  

  • Current state license as a Registered Nurse, BSN preferred.
  • Minimum of three (3) years in a home care setting is preferred.
  • Demonstrate leadership capabilities with strong supervisory and interpersonal skills.
  • Detail oriented, good organizational and time management skills.
  • Current CPR card and current health certificate.
